Sleep Services of America strives to elevate the level of education available to sleep professionals through publically offered courses and internal continuing education.
CCBC – Community College Baltimore County On-line
This instructional course on Polysomnography includes clinical hours performed at sleep facilities in the Baltimore area. To register for the course, please contact the college at 410-780-6660 for costs. This is a semester long on-line course lasting 12 weeks.
MASSM – Mid Atlantic Sleep School of Medicine
MASSM offers a two week intensive training course for technologist and physicians seeking specific training in Clinical Polysomnography and the field of Sleep medicine. Course located in Mt. Continuing Education offered to SSA Employees
BRPT—(Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) Review Course
To coincide with the RPSGT quarterly exams each year, SSA offers its employees an on-line review or a classroom review at the SSA Corporate office in Glen Burnie, Maryland. It is based on the needs of the students. Review course given several times a year.
Clinical Coordinator Management Course
This course fine tunes your skills in managing a clinical sleep lab. Topics covered include budgeting and administrative duties needed to work as a Coordinator in conjunction with client accounts and Medical Directors. The course is given over four weeks, for two days of each week.
American Academy of Sleep Medicine Audits
Reviews of the clinical and administrative areas of the lab to evaluate the readiness for Academy Accreditation.
CPAP in-service
Reviews the protocols for administering CPAP and Bi-level titration with technical staff. Review is two hours.
